ECU medical student research highlights rural adolescent physical activity, health disparities

The Vidant Health Foundation distributed more than $1.8 million through 132 grants for communities in eastern North Carolina for the 2015-2016 grant cycle. Grants were awarded for programs that focused on chronic disease prevention and management, access to care and nutrition and physical activity.

n June 6, 2011 SW Snowden Elementary hosted their annual field day event. Members of the Beaufort County Physical Activity and Nutrition (PAN) Coalition, a Healthy Carolinians Committee, helped with activities at the field day that involved the new walking trail at the school.
